And the dream becomes reality

If the oceans die, we die (Captain Paul Watson)

I have been following Captain Paul Watson for many years, years during which I have cried many times seeing rakish, indescribable scenes. A great dream of mine, was to one day be capable of being not only a spectator behind a screen but to experience on my own skin the excitement of being part of his great and proud crew.
Being retired, now I had all the time I can devote to something concrete to protect the planet.
Volunteering for WWF or being a Nature Warden for my canton’s Land Department was not enough for me.
So I decided to sign up on the Neptune’s Navy website.
At the end of last October I was contacted and then confirmed my availability. I had a personal interview on WhatsApp with Captain Locky MacLean when I was in India. This was in December. I was later confirmed to embark on the Jean Paul DeJoria from Hamilton – Bermuda.
Next April 10, I have the flight from Zurich with a connection in London. I feel so happy. I have no words to describe the sensation.
Of course, navigating the water will not be like the experiences of nearly 8,000 hours of actual flying. I spent these hours from block off to block on when I worked for Swissair. I have also added as many hours of traveling the skies of the planet during my free time.
Nor will it compare to the sailboat trips from Los Angeles to Catalina Island or those on our Lake Verbano or even the others spent in the ferries.
My determination belongs to a dreamer. I wish to change the world and I want to be an example to others aiming to bring awareness. More and more people should respect the planet, Nature, and Animals. This is essential for a better world for future generations.
