Sri Lanka: a leap into the ancient history

The intense desire to travel and do some good deed, does not leave me and from this Sinhalese’s adventure we learned something new.

  1. Claudine, what a wonderful glimpse into your family’s recent adventures! From animal retreats, to a school visit (?), tea fields, and colorful cultural sites, it looks as though you had a rewarding and busy trip. I cannot wait to see (and hear) more from Sri Lanka. Hugs from both of us.

    1. It was a great experience, dear Tricia… especially the visit to the orphanage has affected me a lot: how can you give up a child in the desperation of not being able to look after her?
Without specifying that I cried too much seeing all those poor dogs (strays and with owners) in terrible heath conditions… Hugs and kisses from all of us! :-)c

    1. Aku baik-baik, terima kasih!
(hope I wrote it right, with the help of Google translator!)
      Serenity to you, Ramliong :-)c

      1. Indonesia adalah bahasa, tapi itu tidak buruk.
Saya mengunjungi Indonesia selama dua bulan, bertahun-tahun lalu.
Saya berharap Anda a nice day :-)c

        Dieng Plateau benar sangat mengesankan.

  2. Oh goodness me, what a fascinating place, I was riveted by all your pictures. I loved the shrines and the archaeology and enjoyed seeing all the monkeys, they remind me of the ones we have just seen in Bali.
How sad to hear of the poor dogs and the deer, wherever we go we unfortunately we see the negatives along with the positives, but it’s still hard to see. I’m glad you had such a memorable experience. Thanks you SO much for your postcard, it was such a lovely surprise to receive it. You are a sweetheart.xxxxxx
