See the post in the blog “amici del lupo svizzera italiana”

This is the translation of a derogatory article against the “protectors of Nature”.
It is really true that apples never fall far from the tree: if I remember correctly, Mr. Berta, who wrote the article of 5.8.2020 “Wolf, predations and true solutions”, or “I am the champion in wanting to inflict a new blow to ecosystems ”, he was also coordinator of the committee against the creation of the Locarnese National Park. His view is obviously anti-nature.
He accuses those who oppose the amendment of the Hunting Law (LCP) to be voted on on 27.9.2020 as “lack of intellectual honesty that is subordinated to an ideological battle of principle”.
Dear Mr. Berta, one really wonders the value of some of your statements, thrown there to glorify the idea that allowing the killing of protected species is an advantage for humanity, while the protectors of Fauna & Flora show, how do you define a “purely fundamentalist attitude that presents no rational basis for argument” except “fanaticism”? The “fanatics” (myself for instance) safeguard Nature and its creatures, providing scientific arguments with transparency, proven by in-depth studies, made by biologists and ecologists. They do not exploit statistics at will, and they do not raise their voices in the most varied areas to show themselves on a political as well as personal level.
On our side, that of the “fanatics”, we include people who come from all social and political backgrounds, obviously people with a strong rational and ethical sense who look not to their own interests but to those of future generations.
I don’t understand why you flaunts all this hatred and fury towards those who defend protected animals. More than a hundred years have passed since 1800, when the last wolf was killed in Ticino. Now this creature linked to the grandmother’s fairy tales that made us tremble as children, is back but we have been able to greatly advance our knowledge and technologies. Let’s use them: it is a challenge for a model of sustainable development, for a possible balance and coexistence despite the exaggerated anthropogenic drive. We can, with the right efforts and countermeasures aimed at protecting the flocks, be able to demonstrate an open and intelligent vision by taking advantage of the presence of these “great predators” to the benefit of the ecosystem.
By following the various cantonal and federal recommendations on how to protect flocks, we use the experiences of those who have succeeded, take advantage of the available funds, or in particular avoid leaving animals in the wild (without shepards).
This poor planet is already going badly without a modification of the Hunting Law allowing in the future to kill protected animals even before they can generate damage, only because their presence annoys those who only take from Nature, without ever returning even a thank you.
Mr. Berta cites “real solutions”, which, alas, would be to pull the trigger! Therefore, I reiterate a NO to the revision of the hunting law to be voted on on 27 September 2020.
