It’s terrifying: in the last year in the Amazon an area as large as 500 thousand football fields has been destroyed! Half a BILLION of trees lost forever.
It works like this: armed militias invade protected areas and kill indigenous leaders who try to oppose them. It even seems like they are spilling gasoline from planes to ignite huge portions of forest. And to make matters worse, the ultra-right President Bolsonaro is making matters worse by removing the existing safeguards from the Amazon!
Right now, however, the defense parliamentarians of the Amazon are examining new forms of protection to be proposed to Congress to save the precious rainforest. And indigenous peoples are seeking international support to defend their home.
Let us join together from all over the world to protect the forest – and these allies will bring our voices into Congress at every key moment, to stop the chainsaws and the apocalypse in the Amazon.

È terrificante: nell’ultimo anno in Amazzonia è stata distrutta un’area grande quanto 500mila campi di calcio! Mezzo MILIARDO di alberi persi per sempre.
Funziona così: milizie armate invadono le aree protette e uccidono i capi indigeni che cercano di opporsi. Pare addirittura che spargano benzina dagli aerei per incendiare enormi porzioni di foresta. E come se non bastasse il Presidente di ultra destra Bolsonaro sta peggiorando le cose togliendo all’Amazzonia anche le tutele esistenti!
Proprio ora però, i parlamentari difensori dell’Amazzonia stanno vagliando invece nuove forme di protezione da proporre al Congresso per salvare la preziosa foresta pluviale. E i popoli indigeni stanno cercando sostegno internazionale per difendere la loro casa.
Uniamoci da tutto il mondo per proteggere la foresta — e questi alleati porteranno le nostre voci fin dentro al Congresso in ogni momento chiave, per fermare le motoseghe e l’apocalisse in Amazzonia.

E’ una tragedia umanitaria di vastissime proporzioni, il clima del Pianeta ormai è fuori controllo, e la deforestazione non può che peggiorare questo già fragile equilibrio. Purtroppo l’ignoranza di certi uomini consegna un mondo devastato al resto dell’umanità.
Oltre all’ignoranza, abbiamo l’egoismo e la sete di potere. Per cosa poi? Ognuno di noi ha i giorni contati, siamo effimeri e chi prima chi dopo, ce ne andremo da questo pianeta lasciando una “traccia” indelebile (karma).
La precarietà è diventata un’abitudine con la quale conviviamo… e come Robert scrive, ciò che più fa rabbia è la grande indifferenza di troppe persone che ci stanno attorno. Grazie Max per il tuo passaggio, e per (uguale in che modo) cercare di far trasparire l’urgenza di (re)agire per la salvezza dell’umanità.

E’ terribile, e ancora più terribile è l’indifferenza che percepisco fra molte delle persone che incontro…
Ed è questa indifferenza che mi fa imbestialire sempre di più! Ma dovremmo arrenderci, l’ingratitudine della maggioranza di chi ci circonda, sarà ripagata (presto o tardi che sia), come scrivevo anche a Max: Karma è un boomerang. Abbraccio :-)c
un’autentica tragedia che si compie sotto i nostri occhi a opera di presidente reazionario.
Se perdiamo anche l’Amazonia la Terra è perduta. Uniomo le nostre forze e facciamo sentire la nostra voce.
Il mondo è pieno di coglioni… ad ogni angolo di strada ne trovi uno, ai piani alti delle nostre aziende, sotto i ponti quelli che si son strafatti, nei club cult quelli che usano coca o metanfetamina, inginocchiati in chiesa quelli che poi predicano e razzolano male, in posizioni strazianti quelli che frequentano i postribuli, quelli che per far carriera la danno via, quelli che pensano d’essere migliori ma sono logorroici…

Es ist schrecklich und schlimm, was sich derzeit in Brasiliens Regenwäldern abspielt. Es trägt mit den Bränden in Russland und anderen europäischen Landern dazu bei, dass die Klimakatastrophe immer schneller eintrifft.

Heute Abend bin ich sauer… leider kann ich die Emotionen, die mich reizen, nicht unter Kontrolle halten.
Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, was passieren wird, wenn wir so weitermachen…
Und ich habe Angst. Nicht für mich, ich habe noch ein paar Jahre Zeit als “Zuschauer” zu verbringen… sondern für meine Kinder und, wenn sie Kinder haben werden, für meine zukünftigen Enkelkinder.

Non c’è da stupirsi, è la naturale conseguenza dell’ignoranza, dell’indifferenza, dell’inciviltà, della corruzione e di tutto il male che si inasprisce col passare degli anni anziché smussarsi. L’Amazzonia che brucia è davvero l’inizio dell’Apocalisse, ma fa effetto vedere i cartelli di “sensibilizzazione” in paesi che non hanno una cultura e un’educazione che includa la sostenibilità dell’ambiente. Cara Marian, l’attuale situazione penso abbia provocato un grande senso di sgomento in tutti noi persone sensibili alle tematiche ambientali… penso non solo alla foresta Amazzonica ma anche ai milioni di creature bruciate vive che non hanno potuto fuggire.
