Questo video mostra alcune rane salvate dalla strada a Magadino, una delle quali visibilmente gravemente ferita che ancora voleva raggiungere la libertà.
È così orribilmente difficile guardare le rane spiaccicate per strada perché alla gente non importa e invece di rallentare, danno gas.
Abbiamo bisogno di volontari per aiutarci, specialmente quando piove o con terreno bagnato, le rane e i rospi escono di notte a partire dalle 20:30 fino alle prime ore del mattino.
Le importanti trasformazioni territoriali avvenute negli ultimi decenni in Svizzera hanno portato a una drastica riduzione sul piano nazionale della presenza di Anfibi e di Rettili, soprattutto a causa della distruzione e dell’isolamento di molti dei loro habitat naturali. Anfibi e Rettili sono giuridicamente protetti dalla Confederazione: i cantoni – responsabili dell’attuazione delle misure di protezione della natura – sono pertanto chiamati ad adottare provvedimenti attivi a loro favore.

It is so horribly hard to look at frogs smashed on the street because people do not care and instead of slowing down, they give gas.
We need voluntary to help us, specially when it’s raining or with wet ground, frogs and tods came out at night starting from 20:30 up to the early hours.
The important territorial transformations that have taken place in recent decades in Switzerland have led to a drastic reduction on the national level of the presence of Amphibians and Reptiles, mainly due to the destruction and isolation of many of their natural habitats. Amphibians and Reptiles are legally protected by the Confederation: the cantons – responsible for implementing nature protection measures – are therefore required to adopt active provisions in their favor.
Un maschio e una coppia di rospi investiti da un auto, impossibile non vederli tanto erano grandi… Se si rallenta, segnalando alle autovetture che seguono, si potrebbe evitare di investire questi anfibi.

Dear Stacey, but we desperately need HELP from others… the inhabitants of Magadino seemly don’t care. The government shall take action: amphibians are protected!!!! Only with speed control systems (and heavy fines), with the intervention of the police a.s.o. we may achieve good results. Unless, since I don’t know exactly what and how have been planned to build a “bicycle lane”, which may be another nuisance for the animals in this protected zone of hight biology interest. Hugs :-)c

Caro Gianpaolo, in effetti il problema è di tipo “antropico” 😦
Abbiamo invaso anche zone protette (vedi Le Bolle di Magadino), attraversando con una strada molto trafficata poiché porta al confine con l’Italia. Le auto (ma non solo quelle con targhe italiane), sfrecciano a velocità sostenuta anche nell’abitato con zona 50 km/ora. È pericoloso anche per noi volontari poiché ci sono zone oscure e sprovviste di “marciapiedi”. Sulla zona che chiamiamo “Motto”, la strada si tapezza di piccoli cadaveri… anche in presenza dei volontari che fanno del loro meglio le macchine non frenano/fermano e schiacciano le ranocchie sotto i nostri occhi.
È assolutamente auspicabile l’intervento delle autorità e della polizia…
hai perfettamente ragione Claudine. Ma credo che anche rallentando la velocità può essere difficile a questi animali di passare indenni.
L’unica soluzione sarebbe quella di vietare il passaggio
Zum Glück sind bei uns im Reusstal die noch zahlreichen Natur- und Vogelschutzvereine auch bezüglich den Laichzügen der Amphibien sehr aktiv. Sogenannte Froschzäune (wenn nötig mehr als 100 Meter lang) mit eingegrabenen Kesseln verhindern an Orten, wo Laichzüge stattfinden, die Strassenüberquerung. Die Tiere werden regelmässig eingesammelt und im Laichgebiet wieder ausgesetzt.

Auch in TI haben wir Umweltverbände… aber in der Regierung gibt es Menschen, die nicht die gleiche Sensibilität haben. Der neu gewählte Staatsrat PPD Raffaele De Rosa (https://www.facebook.com/LupoSvizzeraitaliana/photos/rpp.154630158465595/368580330403909/?type=3&theater) ist Teil des Vereins für ein Gebiet ohne große Raubtiere! !!
Unerhört… und viele von uns sind sprachlos.
Das passiert meiner Meinung nach nicht nur im Tessin. Wir müssen mit Entschiedenheit im Namen der “stimmlosen” kämpfen: den Tieren!
