Actually, between 1985 and 1997 I had been hundred of times in London! When flying with the Airbus 310 (Swissair), the night’s stop in LHR were the great occasion to visit the city and attend to many musicals, or classical music concerts. I loved (and still love) London! It’s a cosmopolite city, full of interesting places to visit, without getting bored.
My daughter Sara Luna (for obvious reasons related to the Harry Potter saga) wished to see London, Station King Cross’s platform 9 3/4 and much more. The 2018 year-end holidays were the perfect opportunity! For me it was also the opportunity to meet Marianne… whom I had long wanted to meet in person. Unfortunately, Dina and her husband could not reach us because their lovely Sam was sick and had urgent surgery, I was very sorry, but I’m sure there will be other occasions. England is a nation to be discovered… and you never have enough of it (Brexit apart)!!!

Did you know? It may seems a stupid joke but a muslim Security lady , with niqab and an awful makeup good for a disco drag-queen, considered the pots of marmelade to be “liquids”… (I buyied them from Fortnum&Mason, they were bearing a special seal).
Actually, maybe I’m wrong, but for me “liquid” means “fluid” and marmelade is “solid”.
It looks like that for the muslim officer is different, or maybe she only was frustrated and pissed off of her job and wanted to show her “woman’s-power”, the one which isn’t allowed in her culture.

In realtà, tra il 1985 e il 1997 ero stata centinaia di volte a Londra! Quando volavo con l’Airbus 310, il lay-over degli equipaggi Swissari a LHR era la grande occasione per visitare e vedere molti musical o concerti di musica classica. Ho amato (e amo ancora) Londra! È una città cosmopolita, piena di luoghi interessanti da vedere, senza mai annoiarsi.
Mia figlia Sara Luna (per ovvie ragioni legate alla saga di Harry Potter) desiderava vedere Londra, il binario 9 3/4 della Station King Cross e molto altro. Le vacanze di fine anno 2018 sono stata la perfetta occasione! Per me è stata anche l’opportunità di incontrare Marianna… che da tempo desideravo conoscere di persona. Purtroppo Dina e suo marito non hanno potuto raggiungeci poiché il loro Sam ha dovuto avere un’operazione d’urgenza, e questo mi è molto dispiaciuto, ma sono sicura che ci saranno altre occasioni. L’Inghilterra è una nazione tutta da scoprire… e non ne hai mai abbastanza (Brexit a parte)!!!

Lo sapevate? Può sembrare uno scherzo stupido, ma una mussulmana, impiegata della sicurezza, con niqab e un trucco orribile buono per una drag-queen, ha considerato i vasetti di marmellata come “liquidi”… (acquistati da Fortnum & Mason, perfettamente sigillati e impaccati).
In realtà, forse mi sbaglio, ma per me “liquido” significa “fluido” e la marmellata è “solida”.
Sembra che per l’ufficiale musulmana le notizioni di fisica sono diverse, o forse era solo frustrata e incazzata dal suo lavoro e voleva mostrare il suo “potere della donna”, quello che non le è permesso nella sua cultura.
