SHARED from Cecil’s Pide (executive editor Jeff.W.)
Hello everybody,
this Friday will mark the end of one era and the beginning of another. As the Obama family is packing up making way for the Trump family to begin a new chapter, many are concerned about the future of the animals at risk domestically and abroad. The animal community has experienced a lot of progress in the last couple years with a progressive government that has been providing an animal friendly government appointing righteous judges and policy makers who have been purposing laws like Pedals Law and bringing back soldier dogs to US soil. We’ve also seen wins in the creation of protected lands ensuring safety for animals across millions of acres of lands and the banning of elephants at circuses. But we cannot take these wins for granted as the incoming pro hunting Trump government will be reversing many of these laws to please their hunting and business elite overlords. Even prior to taking office, they’re already soliciting donations in return for a chance to go hunting with the presidential family with ask prices up to a million dollars. The incoming chapter will be a season where we need to stand up for the animals because the government will not be protecting them anymore. With an incoming We need to speak out and let policy makers know that they will be watched and we will intervene and expose them if they are conducting themselves in an unethical manner. This Friday at inauguration, animal lovers from all over the world will be joining the thousands of justice fighters representing animals and other causes; this is our place to make a stand in the world’s most televised event.
We invite you to make a sign and go if you can. The more representing animals, the better. but we know that if you cannot attend, we invite you to pitch in to the efforts of animal advocacy to ensure there is a voice for the animals. Even Even a simple $2 can go a long way. 2017 will be a year where the animal community will be active. We are working with partnering groups like Cecil2017 and Animal Embassy to ensure the legacy of Cecil roars on. We have anti-poaching protests planned with partnering groups in major cities and plan to host a surprise visit to Palmer’s place on a day he does not expect us. But all of this is only possible with your support. The future of animal activism especially in the area of journalism and reporting is in your hands and we invite you to partake with us in the new year to make this a year where the animal lovers will continue to press on.
Here are a few ways you can help:
1- Go to DC on inauguration and represent animals. We have thousand of people from different causes committed to speaking out in a non violent manner at this event from social justice issues, environment protection advocates, native advocacy many more. Help the animal movement take advantage of the media opportunity.
2- Give to the animal movement- Not everyone has the availability to travel all the way to DC but we can all support our fellow animal advocates at DC on friday and future advocacy efforts by giving to the movement. For larger donations, we invite you to check out Animal Embassyand their gift store or consider getting a Cecil Poster.
3- Commit to getting involved in 2017- While hunters and haters may think they have it easy, we need to let the know that we’re not going down without a fight. Many of our community members are committing to putting on local advocacy events with partner groups including a surprise visit to Palmer and we invite you to do so as well.
Cecil’s Pride is partnering with Animal Embassy to raise awareness and support the movement with a limited edition 24×36 poster/picture of Cecil to put in your living room. You can frame it, you can put it on the wall as a poster. It is a great conversation starter and a great way to make the point “shoot with cameras, not with guns.” Pledge Your Support For The 2017 Year
We would like more people standing up for animal causes and are making a call to the animal community to ensure advocacy is present for animals at risk. We know that when we reach critical mass, the government, no matter how corrupt, will heed to the demands of the people. These people are offering their time to advocate as they believe in a world without trophy hunting and any form of animal cruelty. Do you believe in this vision? Will you chip in a $5 to make this dream a reality?
At Cecil’s Pride, we believe in change and will stand firmly side by side with animal lovers and fellow activists as brothers and sisters in advocacy. Never before has there been an event of such great magnitude and we will do what we can to help them FORCE CHANGE.

PS: We believe in a future where our children and grandchildren can go overseas on eco-tourism tours and are able to see the animals in their wild habitat. We also support a couple other grassroot movements that are making high impact for the animal kingdom. Do you want to support our work? Please click here to donate today.

It broke my heart when I heard about Cecil. I can’t understand why some people treat animals in this way. I have made a small donation, every little helps. :>)
Thank you… you have a noble heart! Important is to share wide around and make other people know the true about it… Never give up hope! 🙂 ❤ have a nice week end
I’m glad you’re working to help animals!
Thank you, my dear. We all have to stand up, make a great group defending animals even if only by posting or signing a petition, or writing about and spreading the words… we have to reach the “critical mass”… Even if the actual reality, in which we are confronted with many terrible happenings of hate and terrorism, has actually put priorities. But for me, as for many other, there isn’t any difference between humans and other sentient beings. What we simply call “animals”, they are living creature exactly like us! Thank you for the wisit, be peace with you :-)c
Dear Claudine, thank you SO much for your kind, caring letter. You are such a comfort, thank you for thinking about me.xxxxxxx
