In the spring season, arriving in Ascona from the Viale Monte Verità, the visitors will be enchanted by the beauty of the cherry trees blossoms. Then, a gust of mischievous wind, the magic of the pink snowflakes will surprise them. Those are special and unforgettable moments that will remain impressed and non-faded in the memory, not only of tourists but also of those who in Ascona live. Yet, it isn’t just the cherry trees in bloom to arouse emotions that you then carry with you glued to the soul.
Ascona has always been one in a million village!
If you then take the time, that precious and fleeting asset, following the Avenue to the end, you enter the pedestrian area of the nucleus. In via Borgo you meet with friends in the bars or restaurants to tell the latest anecdotes, let yourself be enchanted by tempting shop’s windows, among ancient patrician palaces. Ascona is polyglot and cosmopolitan, a small city that pulsates 7 days out of 7, although perhaps the night is quiet enough to allow a restful sleep.
Its historic center has remained almost identical over the centuries: a local architecture but wisely restored, bringing renovation work with the purpose to maintain its particular character present in every small alley, in the inner courtyards, in all the little squares.
Then when you reach the lake, no matter from which alley, you stay for a moment with bated breath. The look sweeps, setting on small details: once again, the luxuriant nature welcomes everyone with a generous embrace. Mighty centuries-old plane trees line the shore in front of restaurants and cafés bringing pleasant shade on hot summer days. A Mediterranean atmosphere brings serenity, distancing stress, which is increasingly harassing us. You sit in a cafe, in the company of friends, or alone with your own thoughts and you let your mind the craved freedom to wander, to dream, to create your own future. Thus artistic, literary or pictorial inspirations are born, the desire to dance, since in the end, Ascona forges them all.
A walk along the lake, or the “Sentiero Giro del Golf”, or a naturalistic expedition to the well-known Monte Verità or the Brissago Islands, allow a privileged contact with nature, with local fauna and flora.
For all ages and for every wish, Ascona will have surprises. One thing is certain: those who come for the first time, soon (very soon) want to return because Ascona remains glued to the heart, through especially emotional memories.

In primavera, i visitatori che arrivano ad Ascona seguendo il Viale Monte Verità si troveranno ammaliati dalla bellezza dei ciliegi in fiore. Poi, una folata di vento dispettosa, e la magia dei fiocchi di neve rosata li sorprenderà. Sono attimi speciali ed indimenticabili, che rimangono impressi ed indelebili nella memoria non solo dei turisti ma anche di chi, ad Ascona, ci vive.
Eppure, a suscitare emozioni che poi ti porti appresso incollate all’anima, non sono solo i ciliegi in fiore.
Ascona è da sempre un borgo più unico… che raro!
Se poi ci si prende il tempo, quel bene così prezioso e sfuggevole, seguendo il Viale fino in fondo si accede alla zona pedonale del nucleo. In via Borgo ci si incontra nei bar o ristoranti per raccontarsi gli ultimi aneddoti, ci si lascia incantare da allettanti vetrine, tra antichi palazzi patrizi. Ascona è poliglotta e cosmopolita, una piccola città ma che pulsa 7 giorni su 7, anche se forse la notte si cheta quel tanto da permettere un sonno ristoratore.
Il suo centro storico è rimasto pressoché identico nei secoli: un’architettura locale ma sagacemente risanata, apportando interventi di restauro con la finalità di mantenere il suo carattere così particolare presente in ogni piccola viuzza, nei cortili interni, in tutte le piazzette.
Quando poi si giunge al lago, non importa da quale vicolo, si rimane per un attimo con il fiato sospeso. Lo sguardo spazia, posandosi su piccoli dettagli: nuovamente la natura rigogliosa accoglie tutti con un abbraccio generoso. Poderosi platani secolari costeggiano la riva davanti ai ristoranti e caffè portando ombra gradita nelle calde giornate estive. Un’atmosfera mediterranea aleggia portando serenità, allontanando lo stress, che sempre più ci assilla. Ci si siede in un caffè, in compagnia di amici, o da soli con i propri pensieri e si lascia alla mente l’agognata libertà di vagare, di sognare, di creare il proprio futuro. Così nascono ispirazioni artistiche, letterarie o pittoriche, voglia di danzare, poiché in fondo Ascona le forgia tutte.
Una passeggiata costeggiando il lago, lungo il “Sentiero Giro del Golf”, oppure una spedizione naturalistica verso il conosciuto Monte Verità o sulle Isole di Brissago, permettono un contatto privilegiato con la natura, con fauna e flora locali.
Per ogni età e per ogni desiderio, Ascona riserba sorprese. Una cosa è certa, chi ci viene per la prima volta, presto (molto presto) desidera ritornare poiché Ascona ti rimane incollata al cuore, attraverso ricordi soprattutto emotivi.

Im Frühjahr werden Besucher, die auf der Viale Monte Verità in Ascona ankommen, von der Schönheit der blühenden Kirschbäume bezaubert. Dann ein böswilliger Windstoß und die Magie der rosa Schneeflocken wird sie überraschen. Es sind besondere und unvergessliche Momente, die nicht nur von Touristen, sondern auch von denen, die in Ascona leben, in Erinnerung bleiben. Dennoch Emotionen zu wecken, die Sie dann mit sich tragen, sind es nicht nur die blühenden Kirschbäume.
Ascona war schon immer ein einzigartiges und seltenes Dorf!
Wenn Sie sich dann die Zeit nehmen, dieses kostbare und flüchtige Gut, wenn Sie folgen der Viale bis zum Ende man betret die Fußgängerzone des Kerns. In Via Borgo treffen Sie sich in den Bars oder Restaurants, um die neuesten Anekdoten zu erzählen. Lassen Sie sich von den verführerischen Boutique Fenstern zwischen den alten Patrizierpalästen verzaubern. Ascona ist mehrsprachig und kosmopolitisch, eine kleine Stadt, die 7 von 7 Tagen pulsiert, obwohl die Nacht vielleicht ruhig genug ist, um einen erholsamen Schlaf zu ermöglichen.
Sein historisches Zentrum ist im Laufe der Jahrhunderte fast identisch geblieben: eine lokale Architektur, die jedoch sorgfältig restauriert wurde, um Restaurierungsarbeiten mit dem Ziel zu bewirken, ihren besonderen Charakter in jeder kleinen Gasse, in den Innenhöfen und auf allen Plätzen zu bewahren.
Wenn Sie dann den See erreichen, egal auf welcher Gasse, bleiben Sie für einen Moment mit angehaltenem Atem. Der Blick fegt mit kleinen Details: noch einmal empfängt die üppige Natur alle mit einer großzügigen Umarmung. Die jahrhundertealten Platanen von säumen entlang die Küste vor Restaurants und Cafés und sorgen an heißen Sommertagen für angenehmen Schatten. Es herrscht eine mediterrane Atmosphäre, die Ruhe von Stress ablenkt, der uns zunehmend belästigt. Man sitzt sich in einem Café, in Gesellschaft von Freunden oder alleine mit eigenen Gedanken und lässt man die ersehnte und begehrte Freiheit umzuwandeln, zu träumen und die eigene Zukunft zu gestalten. So entstehen künstlerische, literarische oder bildliche Inspirationen, der Wunsch zu tanzen, denn am Ende schmiedet Ascona sie alle.
Ein Spaziergang an Rand des Sees, entlang des “Sentiero Giro del Golf” oder eine naturalistische Expedition zum bekannten Monte Verità oder zu den Brissago-Inseln ermöglichen einen privilegierten Kontakt mit der Natur, der örtlichen Fauna und Flora.
Ascona wird für jedes Alter und jeden Wunsch Überraschungen bieten. Sicher ist, dass diejenigen, die zum ersten Mal kommen, bald (sehr bald) wiederkommen möchten, weil Ascona durch besonders emotionale Erinnerungen am Herzen haftet.
